Giftveil fits into the way you shop. Use the native Share menu on your phone, or add the extension to your desktop browser.

The iPhone beta is available through your TestFlight invitation. Download the Android beta or browser extension below. These test versions use your Giftveil account and live wishlists; App Store and Google Play releases are not available yet.

iPhone & iPad

TestFlight beta by invitation

Save from Safari and shopping apps with the iPhone Share menu.

With the test app installed

  1. Open Giftveil and sign in to your account.

  2. In Safari or a shopping app, open a product and tap Share. Choose Giftveil (look under More if it’s not visible).

  3. Review the name, image and price. Fill in anything missing, save. If you have several wishlists, you can choose another; otherwise your usual list is used.

Czech or English, picked from your phone’s language. You can change it in the app’s settings.

Android

Android beta available

Share a product link straight to Giftveil from your Android phone.

With the test app installed

  1. Open Giftveil and sign in to your account.

  2. Open a product in a shopping app or browser. Tap Share and choose Giftveil.

  3. Review the product details, fill in anything missing, save. If you have several wishlists, you can choose another; otherwise your usual list is used.

Download the APK on your Android phone and open it. If asked, allow your browser to install this app, then follow Android’s installation steps.

Chrome & Edge on desktop

Manual preview available

Keep browsing. Open the extension to send a product to your wishlist.

For Chrome and Edge on a computer. This is an unpacked preview, not a Chrome Web Store release.

  1. Download and unzip the extension below. This preview is installed manually; it is not a Chrome Web Store listing.

  2. Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions) and enable Developer mode.

  3. Choose Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder containing manifest.json. Pin GiftVeil to your toolbar.

  4. Open a product page, click GiftVeil or press Alt+G, then continue to GiftVeil and save.

Download extension (.zip)

Product details depend on what the shop shares and makes publicly available. Some links won’t include a name, image or price. You can always edit them before saving.

Prefer to use the web?

Your wishlist also works in a browser. Paste a product link, or add the web app to your Home Screen. This is separate from the native apps above.

Open the web app

iPhone web app

  1. Open giftveil.com in Safari and tap Share (or More, then Share).
  2. Choose Add to Home Screen. Turn on Open as Web App if shown, then tap Add.
  3. Open a product in your browser or shopping app, copy its link, then open GiftVeil and tap Add a gift.

Android web app

  1. Open giftveil.com in Chrome. Tap Install GiftVeil here if available, or use Chrome’s menu → Add to Home screen → Install.
  2. Open a product in a browser or shopping app and tap Share.
  3. Choose GiftVeil (it may be under More). Check the gift name and link, then save. If GiftVeil is missing, copy the link and paste it instead.
Optional: save from the iPhone Share menu

iOS does not support the web app as a direct share target. Create a Shortcut once to open shared links in GiftVeil.

  1. In Shortcuts, create a shortcut named Save to GiftVeil. Open Details and enable Show in Share Sheet. Accept URLs and Safari Web Pages.
  2. Add Get URLs from Input using Shortcut Input, then Get Item from List set to First Item.
  3. Add URL Encode and pass the first URL to it. Encoding keeps product options such as &size= intact.
  4. Add a Text action with the address below. Replace [URL Encoded Text] with the output variable from URL Encode, not literal text.
  5. Add Open URLs using that Text. Save it. On a product page, tap Share → Save to GiftVeil, review the details, then save.
